I don't think there were too many people who thought this was the best move for someone. But you seemed committed. ;)

There are many reasons why that decision was made. :(

Oh, I'm sure. And I'm not giving you a hard time for it, just pointing out that this one thing is probably the biggest contributor to your current state of unhappiness with Solo.

You could probably sell it and get a competitive Solo-Vee and have money left over and get to run on slicks! ;)

You could be right. I am also certain that the other distractions I have going on in my life are part of it as well. I just don't have the motivation or desire to do much right now. -- I need to get out and do more!!!!

Well, I'm out

The to do list is too long between now and tomorrow afternoon when I'd need to leave. I just sent the cancellation email.

Crap.

That's one of the core problems. I can't get the flipping hitch to fit the car properly. So I guess...no need for the trailer just yet. Still no way to attach it to the car.

National events were much more important when prosolo points were involved and the schedule was more evenly spread out. Dumping most all the E coast events into a 6 week period is making it really difficult. The days we are away for events we produce no income, and being closed that many days sometimes angers/frustrates our customers, costing even more business. We are probably going to bag the Fingerlakes and Toledo pros even tho it means not visiting with my family in between. The double cross will qualify us for the Finale, the jury is still out on the single course format at F.L. and Toledo is on concrete so they are the lesser events. Plus we will need more development time to dial in the new shocks than we can get at national events.
We may do another Tour before Nationals but I'll have to look at the schedule again to see what's available.

Sorry man. I do have a drawbar with the right ball on it. Let me know.

For the umpteenth time.

How many local events let you get 12 runs per person?

There are plenty of good reasons not to make the trek to Toledo, but those two are pretty weak. The Toledo surface isn't much better than HPT (and not as good as high grip asphalt would be), and certainly isn't hard on tires.

 And for the umpteenth time why does what we do or our reasons for doing it bother you so much? Too much time on your hands, or are you the new self designated AX sheriff? Get a life!

Well, the tires made it down in Jim's impossibly overpacked CRX and things are off to a good start. Did some practice starts and was cutting lights in about the 2.0 second range (no reaction times available).

Came to find out today that Heyward Wagner *took the month of June off* to make this thing go well.

The course is a Heyward course - flowing and fast, lots of offsets, lots of places to hang yourself. Lots of me, Feinberg and Spratte discussion on what would work and what wouldn't. In places, I'll be deep into third gear. And being able to approach the finish line with the car you're trying to take down in clear sight...that's going to be pretty money.

Wes, if you're reading this, you're missing out on a really cool weekend I think. But yeah, it was expensive to facilitate this. Want me to get you a shirt, if there are any still available?

Sure. I love being on call and responding to topics from server rooms when Exchange servers shit the bed. It's much better than drinking beer and bullshitting at an event. Loads.
