The site is very large and has some neat elevation changes to it. It's close to "stuff" and easy to get to. Plus, you can come watch me get brutalized in AS (again)...

I truly hate the site at Lawrenceville. It's not really that big, thus why a Doublecross is necessary instead of the traditional 2 course ProSolo. My biggest irk is not the elevation changes (which I love at DC), it's the changes in pavement types and the horrible bumps on the back left side and far right side.

I've only been there with the ST car (on 3 different occassions) and it doesn't like aggressively sprung setups. If you've never been there, the bumps at Lawrencville are like speed bumps compared to the one's at VMP. - AB

Where is everyone staying in DC. I don't think Adam has made ressies yet, so I guess it's up to me.

It's not *that* bad. It doesn't seem to bother my relatively stiff car much and I never really noticed the bumps when I've driven "stock" cars down there.

I guess it's like Laurinburg in that you either love it or hate it. I personally love it and think it is one of the most entertaining sites on the east coast.

Spratte and I will be at the Greenbelt Marriott (6400 Ivy Lane, Greenbelt, MD 20770 Telephone: 888-872-8356).

It isn't particularly cheap but at least you can be reasonably sure you car will be there in the morning which is not always the case at some of the other nearby hotels.

I booked here as well. I stayed there last year and it was by far the nicest hotel for the money in the area and close to the site. The beds are truly awesome. - AB

Well, we will be in the awesome brown truck. I'm not sure anyone would want to steal that thing!!

I'll give them a call. Anyone else with recommendations?

Man, I almost forgot about the beds. I stayed there last year and they were awesome. The hotel restaurant was pretty good too but it was a bit pricey as well. It was nice to be able to go back to the hotel on Saturday and grab a quick shower before dinner. Even better was the fact that we didn't have to go anywhere since we were dead-tired after a long day in the sun.

That poor little car can barely haul you around the country and you want to put an entire BED in it? You are sick, man...sick!

I figure I could use it to help smooth out the bumps in Lawrenceville. :car:

Anybody in the RDU area have room for an extra set of wheels?

Or maybe I'll run Hoosiers. . .

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

If you can get them to Bryan's in Greensboro, it's possible we could take them. We're not going to do the 85/95 route, thus we won't go near Raleigh. - AB

Thanks very much to everyone who offered to help out Jackie and myself at the DC ProSolo event (this is an awesome club to belong to!!!), but we have decided to cancel. There is a one-time-a-year BMW club event at the Performance Center that weekend we've been looking forward to for a long time, and its date was just confirmed. We're looking forward to doing a ProSolo one day in the future especially as Jackie will have much more experience by next year at this time.

Thanks again,

Chuck

Chuck, I hope you sent in your email for cancellation already. The SCCA has a 10 day advance notice for a full refund. After that, it's 50% until the Monday before the event. - AB

Thanks for the reminder. I sent the e-mail on Monday after talking with the SCCA office, so I should be ok for a full refund.

Good deal. Although I think their policy isn't too bad, it should be relaxed when they have 20-30 people on the waiting list. - AB
