- best clean run was a 69something, +1 on a 68.1, then managed a clean 68.3something in the bracket race (and a +2/3 67something)

Lop off 2secs if Azenis net me that much and I'll be *very* happy.

That just clinched the strategy - I think I'm ready for better tires, but I'll still get better gains learning to drive what I have rather than chasing the setup. On a $-per-second ratio I'll be better off spending it on another Evo school.

I should probably just calm the $@#$ down about my times/car setup and realize with only 7 AX's I have a *lot* to learn.

I've always run 40-45 front and ten less in the rear and this worked out well for the Type-R, CRX, and the Civic HB. The ITR and CRX were stock, the hatchback was well set up for STS. Ziex tires suck, they might as well be square when comparing with Azenies.

Hey Kendt, are you in the Focus with the "AUTOXER" license plate? If so, when I was out working course at station five, the three of us agreed that...that guy doesn't look like a novice. So good job! To my eye anyway, you looked like you were doing a lot of stuff right. You were wiggling cones. That's good.

That said...not sure who to suggest, and I don't want to step on toes by naming names and leaving people off a list, but there's plenty of FWD hotshoes to talk to as far as a codrive.

And I've told other folks this - if you feel like you're struggling and want to get better, YOU NEED TO DO THIS. Putting Eric Peterson in my AS S2000 is the best decision I've made all year. I've gone from mediocre, to pretty fast (on raw times anyway, got to work on cleaning it up) in a very rough class in this club. I credit the vast majority of this to codriving with Eric, and his coaching.

Yep - that's me. I was already addicted after my first AX, so when I saw that plate was available I jumped on it.

I wanted to write "SLOW" on the rear window in shoe polish a few times :wink:

, but I've really had fun earning the plate. Evo School = best money I *ever* spent.

I honestly don't know from much experience how my car compares to other cars, only other "performance" car I've owned was a MkI GTI over 10yrs ago. I know the SVT is pretty highly rated, and it is hella fun to toss around, so I can at least promise a co-driver they'll end the run with a grin!

So - you've got right of first refusal at Laurinburg. We'll probably have to run on my sucky Ziex's though :lol:

I've thought off and on that a Focus SVT looked like a fun car, but I'll be in the S2000 again that weekend. Still working on figuring out how to drive that car.

Thanks a bunch for the offer!! If Chris & I make it to Laurinburg I'll likely need to drive the Miata, since I've only driven it once this year, and I need a bit of seat time to get ready for the DC Pro. Maybe we can try some other time or try to do a fun run at an upcoming event.
