Here.

If someone could send me a dash plaque file and a course map file, I'd like to put those up, too.

good grief!!! I just looked over the results and I have to say this is the worst result sheet I've ever seen! For this event, clean run = win. For our class, Lee would have had me if he had a clean run. There's cone carnage all over the board on the results. All that said, it was a perfect day and I still had a great time. Great competition in STS and the biggest group I've ever seen!

until next time....

I know I said this after the L'burg event, but now I'm serious. I'm going to try to figure out a cone average per run for both this event and the infamous L'burg event earlier this year. Should be interesting to see which is higher!!!

For this event (Sanford, 5/20/07):

Code:

              1       2      3     4
DNF          25      18     13    13
Cone runs    77      78     78    66
Cones hit   150     176    151   112
Clean runs   35      41     46    58

I don't think the numbers are acceptable. Big changes to the taxiway design would have made these better.

So, for Todd's averages:
Total runs = 548
Cones logged (not including DNF's) = 589

Average = 1.07 cones per run.

Heh! I just found my winning run was my last one...+1 cone! I think that's the first time ever my best run was a coned run (my first 3 were all clean, but well over 2 seconds slower)

Kudos to the event staff for a course layout that I really liked! I thought it was easy to read, flowed well and permitted one to really look ahead and anticipate. Or maybe I just had a good day.

Oh yeah, thanks Emmie for getting the results up so quick. Keep on spoiling us!

BTW, if anybody has bracket race results of any kind, please send them along for web posting.

Just for clarification.....

According to the results that are posted, there were 147 cones hit during the Greenville event, BUT the 147 cones were hit over 110 runs. So you're showing the number of coned runs as a % of total runs, which I believe is a more useful number to understand (as opposed to total number of cones hit to total number of runs). The latter doesn't really tell you much until you understand the # of coned runs as a % of total runs.

BTW, do we have a cone penalty max per run? For example, once you've hit 5 cones, we don't keep count any more.

Did you count DNF's as a cone?
