un-cool dood.
I'd say that yes, THSCC has a lot going in the organization department, maybe topnotch for autocross in this area. I work in the bus sometimes, I know. Todd, especially works his butt off to make sure that it's that way...never mind what others like Emie have put into it.
But I'd also say that there are other positives to look at...
You have to admit running at VMP is a blast. It's clean, asphalt and big. Girly things like real bathrooms are nice. Air is available. The course was a little busy, but because it was, it really made you work at virtually every type of autocross manuever. Slaloms, sweepers, offsets, second and third gear sections, and no pivot cone.
Like Aaron, I was really happy for the most part. It's always better to leave the orange guys alone, but the seat time was great. These types of courses really help when you're figuring out a new car. In my case, I gained a lot by getting feedback from Jinx and Jr. who were running the same event.
Hey, VMSC has real trophies Wes.
(And the food and friendly conversation at Gieseppe's after the events is always a pleasure. Some kidding, lots of course analysis, hand shaking and hugs around. OK, so maybe that's girly too. So sue me.)
A cookie?
Trust me, I know these people too and they also work their butts off for the events. Maybe it's not as perfect yet, but give them some credit...or help.
