I just called and the Hampton Inn is booked for the weekend. If you need a room, The Jameson says they have 4 rooms available varying in price from $65-69 a night. 910-277-0080

The Jameson is also pet friendly for those who bring their furry family members.

Update, I went through Yahoo Travel and got a "Good Buy" rate of ~$56 per night. This is not tied to the hotel's system, and you cannot call the hotel to cancel. It's also prepaid, and basically can't be cancelled without fees. But at least I have a place to stay... hopefully.

We're @ the Holiday Inn Express. Not the cheapest place in town, more like what's left...but they had rooms for Friday and Saturday nights. I can't believe I waited so late to look for a spot! Who knew?

I called what used to be the Ramada. Now called the Clinton Inn. (910) 276-6555. It is on 401 and they had rooms for $39.99. As of now I have a roomie, if that falls through I can split the room with someone looking for cheap lodging.
