Has the date for this year's NCAC been set?

Hahahaha. You're so cute.

If it has, nobody told the webmaster. The date for the next event is usually what triggers me to take the info down from the last one. Hence why the site still has the event info for the last one as if it hasn't happened yet.

Not as of yet. Last time I talked with the folks from Highlands they were working on it. I will see what I can find out.

I hope so. That timing was perfect last year! Nothing like rewarding yourself after a hard day of autocross with a global beer buffet. 8)

I talked with a couple of Highlands members this past weekend and they are working on it. Their first choice for a site is a parking lot at Lowes Motorspeedway with the backup being Greensboro. There was some discussion about using CCR's Statesville auto-auction site but it looks like that may be out of the picture.

Supposedly, they are in contract negotiations with Lowes and are having some problems ironing a couple of details. Or as one member put it, they are trying to avoid any surprise "Humpy" tax. Apparently Mr. Humpy Wheeler is not only proud of his parking lot but tends to add fees at the last minute without notification. I guess it's similar to Greensboro charging people to get into the parking lot despite the fact that we already rented out the dang thing.

The whole thing is supposed to cycle back around to CCR next year and I really hope all 5 (yes, 5!) NC clubs can come together with a unified plan for the future.
