Getting the Annual Tech sticker is the first step to becoming a “real” autocrosser. If you don’t get one, all the other “real” autocrossers reserve the right to point and laugh at you at any time. Seriously, get the Annual Tech. It allows you to tech your own vehicle prior to each event. Just think of the time you can spend walking the course rather than sitting in line waiting to be tech’d.

Annual Tech Inspections will be available at the Test-n-Tune and the first couple of regular autocross events. I’ll be setting up a Tech Station in the morning. Please prep your car and come get it tech’d BEFORE YOU REGISTER OR WALK THE COURSE and definitely BEFORE THE DRIVERS MEETING. I’ll have some helpers there so we should be able to get you in and out rather quickly.

It will also help if you download, read, understand, print, complete and bring the form with you. If you pass, we’ll have some nifty Simon-Wright-Approved stickers to put on your car.

If you have a current THSCC Track/Time Trial Tech Inspection sticker, don’t bother getting an Annual Tech sticker. Your track inspection will be accepted as an autocross annual tech sticker substitute as long as it is good for the entire season.

You must be a THSCC member in good standing with at least four events of verifiable autocross experience to be eligible for an annual tech.

Did I mention that you should bring the form with you filled out?

I recommend that you NOT get an annual tech. Make Chris tech your car at EVERY event. Make his lazy a$$ do some work!

The "course" begins AFTER the start! :P

Besides I won't be there being lazy this year. I'll be in the dirt doing Rally-X or at VIR winning the HPDE championship. 8)

I need two of tech helpers for the annual tech station. i'll need you to be there about 1/2 hour after the gates open until we run out of cars or the driver's meeting (which ever comes first).

first come, first served...this will count as your worker assignment for the day.

Chris, I'm sorry but I just found out that one of the tires that I was going to run tomorrow is corded so I'm going to bail. Somehow that happened daily driving...

Ugh!!! I just PM'ed Chris to let him know that Jonathan and I can't make it tomorrow. Clutch broke in the STi this morning here at the Mazda school, so we have nothing to drive. Folks, if anyone wants to volunteer, please let Chris know!

Sorry, Chris. :(

just a reminder to everyone that we will be doing annual tech at the event on Sunday....print out your forms and bring them with you.

You might also find it more convenient and less embarrassing to pre-check some of the more common failures (wheel bearings and loose battery). Give your wheels a good shake...if you hear a "clunk, clunk" then you got some work to do

Yep, 95% of the cars I failed last year were due to these two. Especially the battery.

If you see JDM boi 240's coming, just go ahead and fail them. They never have battery tie downs. Sorry Jason.

Unless you got the stock STi suspension  Dustin had me on that a few times last year and freaked me out each time till I shook and heard and passed on the news.
