Hacks. I want my money back. I hear that all of those guys are full of hot (and smelly) air, not to mention they like to tell lies all day long.

I can only imagine the pain of paying good money to sit in the car with that Eric Peterson fella all day long.

:):)

Should be a good school!!

My better half agrees with you on that one, hence the reason she's taking the class Tim & Mike are teaching :-)

This is going to be badass. Can't wait - maybe these guys can teach me how to drive this thing...

Stephen,

Any idea what the time schedule looks like for the Extreme school on Sat? (i.e. what time we'll finish up).

Chuck

I honestly have no idea how long the schools last. Maybe Eric could give us a better idea?

While I certainly don't know for sure, all of the other Evo schools that I've been to finished up around 4:00 give or take. They generally try to make it a pretty full day.

Most of the schools last to around 4:00. Tim and I talked yesterday and he said the Extreme School "would be a long day." I don't know what that means time wise, but I know he's working to try to pack a lot of stuff from his normal 2-day Extreme School into this customized 1-day school format for Tarheel. I hope that helps.

Eric

Thanks. Sounds good...I'm going to have to leave by ~5pm, so it looks like that will work out fine. Sure is going to be wonderful weather tomorrow, absolutely perfect for the school!

Hahaha. Do not forget you have Eric "RainMan" Peterson for an instructor. They don't call him that because of his tremendous math skills. They call him that for his social skills. Oh, and the fact that it rains every time he teaches an Evo school. ;)

OK, I'm back from "Extreme," and while I'll post a far more detailed report later, I'll leave it at this. It was the single most worthwhile thing I've done to improve my driving in many years. Simply having Tim Aro and Mike "Junior" Johnson riding in-car and driving the car for a 10+ hour (!!!!) day of autocrossing was educational beyond anything I can put into words. I genuinely hope that, in my years of doing in-car on racetracks, that I've been HALF as helpful to my students as those two were to me today. Serious kudos.

Oh...I literally lost count, but I think I got somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 runs today? And a "run" was two laps around a technical, fast, instructive course that, if memory serves, was in the 35-40 second range. I'll put it this way - when I bought the S2000, it had brand new tires on it. I now need to replace them.

Put an Evolution school on your to do list. Eight years ago when I did phases 1 and 2, they were fantastic, and they've only gotten better. I haven't even delved into the data acquisition stuff in detail yet and could probably spend weeks doing so.

Donna and I also thank Stephen and anyone/everyone else involved in getting an Evo school done locally. It sure was nice not to have to travel 4-6 hrs to take it.
For anyone who didn't take one this weekend: You will wish you had when you see how much quicker your competition that did gets at the next AX!
This makes 7 Evo schools For Donna and I, but it definitely won't be our last.
