This could be an odd year for me. I may skip a Tour event and pay the $100 fee to run Nationals. If I want to run the ProFinale, I'm already qualified with a year end trophy from 2006.
So I may not do any events and just show up to Nationals.
I know Howard Duncan is telling us that if the events or '07 don't go well, the program may be scrapped, but I think after 2006 having the best attendance for ProSolo since it's creation, they should think about scrapping the 2007 REHAB schedule and revamping everything for 2008. - AB
I agree. I think the 2007 ProSolo series should be scrapped 100%. Bring it back in 08.
I also am upset about how they are allowing year end and finale trophy winners to automatically qualify for the finale. I drove in FIVE ProSolos last year (3 in SS and 2 in SM2). Based on those five events points totals I chose to drive in SM2 at the finale (in my stock car) because I was much closer to a year end trophy in SM2. Anyway, I drove my ass off and finished 4th at the finale and 4th for the season in SM2 (One spot out of the trophies... remember, this is in a SS car!!!). But, had I chosen to drive in SS, I would have trophied at the finale but not for the year. So, my decision to go for the long shot and try to win a series trophy in SM2 is now penalizing me by not getting that automatic invite to the finale this year. Had I known then what I know now, I would most certainly have chosen to drive in SS, so I could skip trying to get to two 'ProSolos' this year. GRRRR.
I think it should be all year end trophy winners are invited back for the finale, no invites for finale only trophies and then invite anyone who attends ONE event this year.
