So I think I have at least 90% of the course mapped out... and there are only 40 cones involved.

Thought about doing some tricky stuff, but I keep hearing "fast, fast, fast" and "we don't need tricky - we just need fun" - plus I've had a request from a Corvette hack to make him hit the rev limit in 2nd gear. So if you're afeared of fast courses, stay home.

:P

damn corvette guys. :woo: :woo: :woo:

we know it was you, "oh King of the RWD Hacks"
If Remchak is hitting the rev limiter in second in his on street tires, I'll be doing like 105 in my on Hoosiers. Dear God!

Les or Steve. One of you guys should be ashamed of yourself

So if you Corvette boys aren't happy with tomorrow's course, I don't know what will make you happy.

Thanks to Rob Lupella, Cosby Wood and Brian Herring for helping with setup, and thanks to everybody else for staying the Hell out of the way.

A few things I thought I should mention in case anybody reads this...

Pit on the runway starting at the END - we won't be allowing people to drive from pit and go directly past the finish. You'll be going around the end of the runway/ taxiway to get to grid. If we need more room than that, we'll use the taxiway over by the entrance to the site & where the motorcycles do their thing.

Grid will be on the taxiway starting about where the bus is and going back toward the entrance. If you're running first, feel free to pull your car into grid asap.

If you're a novice, try not to kill yourself or others.

If you know a novice who's running tomorrow, please get him or her some help.

If somebody does bring a radar gun to the event, we may not want you to post the speeds for the general public to see. I'm not sure, though. Up to the VP's & Prez, I guess.

See you there & hope you have as much fun as we did during the designing/ tweaking/ playing around process! :D

did somebody say "bureaucrat" ? we don't need no stinking safe courses! we don't need no stinking badges!

as one of those corvette driving d***heads it concerns me when i hear that only half the course is great. i just don't understand why we can't line up all the cones on one side of the runway and put a damn gate at the end. maybe offset that gate by some extraordinary distance like 8.67 inches or so.

you all are going to force me to get a Viper so i can drive at least one Tarheel course that wasn't designed with a freakin Miata kink in it.
