Oh, yeah - think we'll be able to ride along with anybody if they're still running when we get there?

I don't mind giving a ride.

What I meant was would they be tight-assed about it, or would they allow non-competitors to ride...

Pretty decent Tarheel turnout for a seventy person autocross where we got six runs on a fast, third gear course.

Wood stealers include:

Adam Breakey with the FTD too
Eric Peterson with the Pro win and FT Pro (paging the office of redundentcy office). He was so fast, in fact, that his water pump couldn't keep up with him. :(
Les Davis winning SM2
Keith Strassel winning SM
Bernie "Chew" Bakke taking HS
Gwen Bakke laying the smack down in HSL
and I won CSP.

If I forgot anybody, my apologies; my brain stopped working at 3:45.

The other casualty of the event was the Tegeler SM BMW M3 lunching its rear main seal. At least they'll have a chance to do that and their slipping clutch before they leave for Topeka in a couple of days.

Somebody commented that four of the five cars at the event which were also going to nationals broke today. Adam's Z06 was the only Topeka-bound car that could be driven away from the site.

Gee, glad I didn't bring the Spyder. Well, glad I sold the Miata already, too. ;)

I got a second place trophy because I couldn't keep my head out of my butt while I was driving. I only had one good run and that was my last.

And SEVEN cars had issues yesterday. Eric P and his Miata, Anthony Hodges Neon, Chris Petersen's VW Wabbit, the Tegler's M3, Dan Bishop's DSM (shocker!!), a novice's Scion Tc apparently breaking a rod, and the most spectacular breaking....the beautifully painted purple and flames C3 Corvette losing his left rear tire and it somehow bouncing into the fender and taking that with it!!!! Not a good day for autocross cars yesterday!!!!
