I tried to convince her that both days were the way to go to get you to decompress before you hit Europe. Might as well make sure that you get practice on the new equipment before a points event.

I'll be there, but don't expect to beat the white BMW. I'll just be happy to beat a Westerfield!!
Does anybody want to share a hotel room Saturday night? Well, not just anybody.

Tell you what...if you pay my entry fee on Saturday, I'll let you win.

I'm not coming to the event Saturday, so at least you'll beat one of the Westerfield's to the site.

I've decided to 'do the double' on Saturday/Sunday. This will let me use the old 245 Kumhos on Saturday and get a feel for them on the surface, so we can compare the 285 Hoosiers on Sunday :)
Yes, 285's on an 8" rim. ;) - AB

We're planning on a double as well. Need practice on asphalt on course with sweepers (there WILL be sweepers, right???) and slalloms.

Yep - we are putting in some sweepers for Sunday -- maybe a slalom or two as well. :)

Good. It's too bad Triad hasn't learned that slaloms are part of an autocross. - AB

You did see the name of this event, didn't you? "Slaloms on a Course"

We are shooting for a variety of slaloms (number of cones, length between cones, etc)... oh, and there will NOT be any sort of slalom like at the VA commonwealth games, i.e. increase distance for 4 cones, then shorten the distance for 2 cones then increase the distance for 3 cones.

Also, this will not be a slalomania course. We are shooting for a balance here.

Hopefully the course will be a nice flowing course with some fun elements in it and NO gimmicks.

It has been done already :-) Image

I thought the Sunday course of the VA games was one of the best I have seen at Danville.

Hey Jim... Did you not see where I mentioned this is NOT a slalomania course?

It will have slaloms... but it is not a slalom course.

As for Sunday's course at the VA games, it was a good course because they fixed that slalom from Saturday.

I am interested in seeing the styling differences between the Triad course on Saturday and the Tarheel course on Sunday. - AB

Triad definitely has more 270s and 360s than Tarheel does. Yeesh.

They haven't figured out a good way to chalk slaloms. . .

Well, unless Queen Christine changes her mind, we'll be leaving Four Oaks around noon on Saturday. So no double for us. (not that I mind or anything)

Have fun.
