You work twice on Sat at prosolos. Afternoon you already know your station so you just wave to the worker chief as you go by.

The more worker changes at a local event, the more confusion and chaos.

Quite frankly, the Pro format (as opposed to AAO or split) is probably the worse format for a local event. I would suggest that you step up and be an event chair. Then you are free to use the Pro format.

I was NEVER advocating the prosolo format!!!
I was just using the fact that we work more than once per day (actually 3 times over 2 days) at the PSs and that the second (and 3rd) time thru everyone already knows their worker assignment since it's the same as the previous session, so there is no line or decisions to be made at the worker chiefs station. The second time out for workers at THSCC events should go as smoothly even the novices will already know where to go and what to do and since they would have had a break before running there would be less pressure and confusion all around IMHO. Even the SCCA events I've been to where you ran and worked back to back they have had to stop the event to make worker changes with VERY experienced workers. I still am of the opinion that it's the back to back work/run that causes most of the worker problems.

Thanks, Brice. I would have never realized that if you hadn't pointed it out. Well, other than my "probably more trouble than it's worth" comment. It's called throwing out an idea that may spark something else.

Now go back to taking Wes' bait on the F1 thread.

Oh, and I did just remember that TH is now using the horn. Probably the best idea yet, really. I doubt we'll do much better than that. Early/late workers are just going to be human nature from there.

Donnie, fact is I proposed this exact idea, volunteered to build it, and was told it was a worthless idea. It honestly wouldn't suprise me to see people react to it differently though, given that an established member brought it up, instead of me, starts to really show the "fraternity" nature of THSCC

If you weren't so damned full of yourself you'd realize the only "fraternity" nature TH has is to give each other as much crap as they'll take, plus a little. Outside of that, it's usually he who builds it and shows it is good, wins.

Try to fix the world's problems without listening to *any* of the problems people offer with your solution, and well, you get what you got. Particularly when you haven't been around long enough to learn any of the personalities who do the work in this club (hint, I'm not one of them since I'm usually off doing national stuff, but I have done more than most at volunteering to do stuff outside of my normal work assignment).

Hang around a while, co-chair an event with someone good, meet the people who do the lion's share of the work, and see what things you can do to help *then*. Outside of that, well, don't expect much better than what you got, particularly with your attitude.

I can't help but wonder what my track record is for ideas I've come up with that were implemented. It's got to be zero-for-ten or more. And I've co-chaired a couple of events, work T&S, and have done several instructor stints with TH. After all that, the only person I hate is Wes. Oh, and Martyn. I hate Wes because that's what people do. And he likes it. And I hate Martyn because he can't spell "tire" to save his life. Oh, and I hate Les Davis because he let me co-drive his car and beat me. And Eric Peterson for introducing me to this dumb sport. Wait, that would technically be Chris' fault. Man, I'm starting to think I should quit these forums and this club too!

Oh, I hate Richard Casto, too. I'm still coming up with my top ten list as to why, though.

I hate Todd Breakey and Mike Whitney, too. For obvious reasons!

That would be pretty funny...the first TH president to only show up at like two events.

The Prez is supposed to show up at the meetings, too? I think that seals my fate right there as a non-candidate. I've been to a grand total of two meetings in my life, and that ain't for lack of trying.

Hmm, okay, maybe it is for lack of trying. ;)
