Oh sure -- wait until my free year(s) of Evo schools runs out, then have one locally.

I guess I will have to enter the raffle again this year. I wonder if Jean will let me do that again?!?!?!?

I still have a Chris Schimmel GC that I need to use. I wonder if I'll be able to get that in this year 8)

I still have a free Rally Cross pass from the Xmas party... Unless I figure out how to mount my friends Tahoe wheels/tires on the Z06 I won't be able to use it. Maybe I could put it towards the Evo school

Just a thought on the Evo School. Since we always have a test-n-tune and then a 2-day event in L'burg at the beggining of the season. And the 1st event weekend in L'burg is usually a Novice School followed by the points event. Maybe we could do the Evo School Phase I to replace our Novice School. Phase II for the rest of us (or Challenge or whatever). Still have 1 day for a T&T, and have 1 day for the 1st point event. We still rent the site for 2 weekends just like we normally do.

That way everyone can benefit from the Evo School at the start of the season, have some practice time, not duplicate efforts for a THSCC school, and not travel to L'burg anymore times than we normally would.

Just a thought from a track snob... I'll do the Evo Phase II school next year if you guys get it, regardless of the site.

Just a note on this idea. I would suggest trying *not* to replace the THSCC Nov School with the Phase I School if that can be managed. My opinion would be that, while there's no reason a true novice *couldn't* do a Phase I school, I personally think it'd likely be a better use of their $ to get a half a doz or so events under their belts first and *then* do the Phase I. The THSCC Nov School is really good for providing some dedicated time/experience at a **very** reasonable/affordable cost to folks who really know *nothing* about autoX and may not even be sure it's something they want to continue to do. A Phase I may not be such a good $ deal for this type of folks.

The ideal scenario would be to have the Evo School(s) first and *then* have a THSCC Nov School. Then the fresh Evo-students-turned-THSCC-instructors would be drawing from their recent Evo experience to help true novices. I know my own instruction techniques were improved by my Evo experiences.
