If there's a cap on entry limit and it's enforced, that tends to be a pretty good carrot.

I'd be willing to run in ESP. I'm a novice in THSCC, which doesn't help in NCAC any. If there are only a few cars, I'm sure I can run competively. I'm listed now as NOV (FS), but after I install the new shocks and springs (which I was planning on doing), it's bye-bye FS. Also be easy to get a set of Kuhmos by then too.

I agree 100%. Also, if this were the case, other things become much more simple. I bow to Todd B. on this, but won't the software determine group order quickly? Then Bernie can print the run/work order on the white board and display @ drivers meeting as we did in Greenville.

The software does a decent job of determining run/work order, but there's some manipulation that we have to do, because of the PAX classes. Also, I think Todd likes to comminucate the work schedule to Timing and Scoring people before the event.

Most other clubs we run with do the classing/work schedules the morning of the event (Triad, NCR, BRR). Doing it in this way allows for the even split of the run classes and hence work groups. Thats why they don't preregister as THSCC does. What the manipulation required for Pax classes is I don't know, But other clubs also have pax classes and they do it the same day. In reality there is no need to have the class/ work groups known in advance, at least not that I'm aware of.

I disagree.

If you knew before you stepped on site that you were working OR running in the first run group. You would know that you needed to grid your car BEFORE the drivers meeting OR you would know that you needed to bring your stuff with you to go out on course to work after the drivers meeting.

Unfortunately, no matter where you write it, how many times you annonce it, SOME people will be clueless about where they hell they are supposed to be. This causes delays, this also makes Mr. Bigglesworth mad and when Mr. Bigglesworth gets mad, PEOPLE DIE!!

I also realize, some percentage of people will ignore the pre event emails and still be clueless. I just think it will be less.

Either way...we will have it posted at registration and do our best to point it out to folks as they register both Friday night and Saturday morning. Everyone has to register at some point so they should see it.

Bother. I'd noticed you were NOV(FS) and was hoping you'd come run in FS with Jim and me. Sure you need those springs? :wink:

I don't really need them...just have to drive around in a 4x4 :wink:

Right now it looks like you guys are the only ones in FS. If someone from the other clubs join, I'd switch over to FS and delay the springs for a while. I figured ESP would be good since there are 2 of us and 1 from another club; that guarantees us a point or two. :lol:

This is all fine and dandy if everyone comes to the meeting prepared.. That doesn't happen even at Tarheel only events, this event will have fifty percent of the folks that DON'T do it this way. And you can't start until the work stations are manned. Fifty percent of the stations will be other clubs who expect to be told at the drivers meeting. If only one station is late you can't start. So again I say there's no reason to have the groups set early, you're not saving any time with three other clubs involved
