I kinda like the ring of "General Hackspital" with a photo of Sonny Carenthos in a white STi with flashing ambulance lights on top.

I think the dash plaques for this event require the special talents of Michael Westerfield...

If he can out do himself after the Brokeback Autox plack I'll be amazed. That is the most hilarious event plaque I've seen to date!

I think that the cast of Mother, Jugs & Speed would be better.

disclaimer:

this is a stupid question, but I don't know where the best place to post it is. . .

for this two day event, is it two seperate autocrosses, or do half run the first day and half run the second day? Cuz if its 169 people running each day, I think I'm gonna pass on this event. . .

Brice,

I ran in the event last year. I believe I was home before 4:00. It was a very fluid event and things moved along quickly and efficiently. Granted, the time I left was governed by the run group I was in, but the day moved along quite nicely.

I live in Cary .... ~an hour or so away.

It's both. Some clubs are using individual days as points events, but for the NCAC itself it's a 2 day event and your best time from each day will determine your finishing position. The course will be DIFFERENT each day.

Brice - It isn't bad at all. Everybody runs boths days, but Chris is right about it going quickly. Triad did a great job last year and we will do the same. We even stopped for lunch.
I think the plan is that our points event will be based on Saturday's results, but you have to run both days for the NCAC points. Not that I'm worried about points this year! I'm just going to have fun.
I think we are doing all the runs each day at once, like in Greenville. If you run in the 1st group and work the 3rd, or reversed, you could be done early.

Is the club going to be awarding X class points on Saturday even though we'll all be split into our respective classes?

Somewhere that is covered in the fine print. Those that normally run indexed classes will be re-classed into that index class if they desire.

No, and they won't be until at the earliest...the week of. Maybe the morning of, but we would like to have it figured out at least a few days in advance. We are having a PAX'd TIR class though...just for you.

We will hopefully have this posted sometime next week. I have the schedule set...but I want to run it by Ryan (who is in Michigan getting married) before I release it.

Yes, but don't expect it to happen on Saturday. We will break out X class after the event and then do our own seperate trophy's at the following event.
