Not too much. Problem was the driver out of those right-handers, big push, hard to make the next left before the first slalom. Of course I am running stock "rocks" still.

Also ran with TC on all day....I think I need to turn it off next time.

What's your problem with 2 driver cars?????? I wasn't complaining; just commenting. I think the whole event was great and I liked the format.
Patrice and Brad are right. The total time between runs was at least 5 minutes and it just felt faster. Those two did a great job gridding and starting. Thanks.
I don't know about the spray versus cold towels. Some of you OCD engineer types figure that out.

I misinterpretted your comment then, and for that I apologize, I've got nothing against them, I just thought it was the spirit of these forums to jump on anyone who complains in the least bit (j/k). Sorry about the over-reaction, I'll probably be in a two driver car at the autocross in september (the wife is gonna let me drive the mini!).

No problem. Having a co-driver and THSCC's policy on riders, really helps. I'll miss that at NCAC.

I'm still undecided about the format. I am leaning towards the traditional THSCC format, but there was no question that the Greenville format works and was an essential shakedown for the NCAC.

I loved the course. I adored the course. I worship the course. Great job, guys!

I love courses where the penalty for a bad line is a slow time, not a cone. That leaves much more room for playing with the line and putting elements together, rather than being forced into a line by exit cones.

What will you miss at NCAC? Are ride alongs not going to be allowed at NCAC?

I'll miss being able to ride along with my co-driver. Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think we will be allowed to do that at NCAC. Stephen?

The policy has always been that you are not allowed to ride with somebody until your runs are done for the day. This is a "championship" event after all.

That essentially means that if you have a co-driver, you can't ride with him or her with the possible exception of the last run of the 2nd driver. That's not exactly an ideal time, however. Also, you won't have the option of one driver taking all their runs first-- you must alternate.

You are welcome to take passengers (subject to our normal policy) as long as that passenger has already competed for the day. In fact, I will be there encouraging other members from the *other* clubs to take as many passengers as will fit in their cars after the first run group.

Jim mentioned that drivers of two driver cars must alternate at the NCAC.

If that is the "plan" you may want to make sure it is clear to the competitors even though it certainly is the rule for major SCCA events. At last year's NCAC it either was not the rule or it was not enforced so it could catch some competitors by surprise.

FYI: With a fast moving event it was a lot easier to have fewer driver and number changes IF that is what the involved drivers preferred.
