Dustin and I had the EXACT same time after four runs. I say let's ban fifth runs. :twisted:

does the rulebook specifically allow two driver cars though (I searched and didn't find any mention of it, its 316 pages, so I haven't read it cover to cover)? I understand the reasoning for the rule from a safety standpoint, but unless the rulebook implies two driver cars are allowed, I don't see how you can say the rulebook stipulates this. What if someone wanted to have a 5 driver car, do we have to wait around all day for them to get 5 minutes between runs? Seems a bit unfair to people who brought their single driver cars to me, the event organizers are already going out of their way to allow these cars if you ask me (sometimes requiring a seperate grid area).

It's ironic that the 5 minute rule was probably put in place to insure that two-driver cars didn't have the unfair advantage over single-driver cars of getting extra heat into the tires, but now the 5-minute rule allows the 2-driver cars a little time to dump the excess heat.

I did have thoughts of providing the 2-driver grid worker with a stop watch for this very purpose. But why go overboard when trying to run a format that is forgein to 80% of the people at the event. Little steps to start with.

If you had a concern that you were not getting at least 5 minutes, the time to speak up was during your heat. The rulebook addresses concerns like that too. :lol:

Rule 3.7F specifically exemplifies two driver cars. Extrapolating this rule means that a car may run no more than two drivers per class, but a single car can run in many classes. A "five driver car" would require a minimum of three discrete classes. If these classes are run at the same time, event coordinators should be contacted such that the classes wouldn't run concurrently or request an exemption.

I didn't even think about it at the time. Honestly, if we weren't also babysitting it wouldn't have been a strain at all. AND, I don't expect this club to run events around my child care needs. If I wanted that, I'd still be president

not sure what rule 6.8D has to do with it, it just says that "supplementary regulations" dictate the running order for two driver cars. This would imply that the rules spelled out in the rulebook don't necessarily apply to two driver cars if you ask me. Deal with the two driver cars how you will, I think this one is a bit more complicated than just "a quick trip to the rulebook" though. . . sounds more like you spelled it out at the driver's meeting, and thats why they are entitled to 5 minutes between runs, the rules seem to say that you can do whatever you want with the two driver cars

really, whatever you guys want is fine, if the two driver cars had complaints about it though, it would have been much more appropriate for them to bring that up to the grid worker than on the forums. I'm sure plenty of cars would have been glad to jump them in line

It was about 5 Min. between run. The time that you get park back in the grid and the time waited in line just before the start was about 2 minutes.
That left about 3 min. waiting in the grid. Get out of the car, start to check tire pressure, drink water, think at you run and it was time to get back in the car again.
Probably why it kind of feel quick between run compare to the usual way.

W3RD!!!! I had 1st place and FTSP after 4 runs :cry:

Damn 5th runs.... Damn going out on your first run and it being your fastest!

A supplementary regulation is used at every Tour and Pro and National event. It becomes a part of the rulebook at that event and is as much a rule as a FasTrack is.
