As event chairs, there is a lot of flexibility avaialble to us. One option I am thinking about for Dante's Inferno (Greenville) is make all 4-5 runs at one time.

I would include a 15 minute break between group 2 and 3 for a course walk.

The main benefit is that is saves a lot of confusion in a limited grid area. The other benefit, all worker assignments are the same length of time.

The downside, it goes against the THSCC tradition <gasp>. Some people need the break between runs to figure things out.

Any input is appreciated...plus it has gotten kind of boring lately on the forums.

Oh, the estimated reading time for Dante's Inferno is 15 hours. I would suggest you get started. It will help with figuring the course out.

I voted that I don't really care. That being said...there is a possibility that we may do the NCAC in this format to help accomidate the large turn-out that we are expecting. I think it would be good thing to try in preperation for NCAC.

I think we should do one run at a time, with worker changes between each. That will keep the assignments short and sweet!

i voted no to the general question, but i suppose if we are doing this in prep for NCAC, then i might change my vote...in general though, i like doing morning and afternoon runs, but the occasional switch up won't hurt.

I personally prefer the 2-2 method with the break in between to settle down and figure things out. However I do see the benefit to doing the AAO method, and since we may do this for the NCAC this is good time to do a test run.

Let's just make sure that T&S (Todd) and the WCs (Chris & Bernie) know what the plan is BEFORE the day of the event.

Somebody's been going to too many VMSC events.

As long as it's broken down by class, I don't care.

Only events that I have run the 2-2 format are with Triad and THSCC. Yes, it would be broen down by class. The car number order is load of crap. That has bit me several times at VMSC events.

Well at least we agree of something. I thought they did that because they couldn't fathom what to do if there was a ES #6 and FS #6. Oh the confusion!

Now that's a loaded question.

1. Would I prefer to do runs all at once? No.

2. Do I think it's a good idea at Greenville and the NCAC? Yes.

I voted "No" since the poll is specifically question #1. You get into the specifics about this site in your post.

I think we *need* to do the the NCAC runs all at once.

I vote we try it out at Greenville as well just to get ready.

I voted yes for situations like NCAC. For regular events with say 120 people I kind of like the anticipation of having more runs in the afternoon. Plus I think it gives us the flexability to add a 5th run if we are running early. (I know, that is a hot button issue from a worker stand point.)

I would prefer this method for every event for a couple of reasons:

1) Anyone looking to move to the Divisional or National level needs to get used to running them all at once (even if they only run 3 runs).

2) Worker assignments become automatic this way. If your class runs 1st you automatically work 3rd, etc. Thus, there is no mad rush to sign up to work an earlier session. Each event, we can just change the heat in which a specific class might run.
