For our upcoming event next month in Greenville, the event chair Jim Pastorius has asked the officers to add an invitational event to the weekend. This would be Saturday evening from 7:00PM to approx. 11:00 PM. We are in the process of contacting the owner to verify we can in fact run the extra day, so for now this post is just to gauge member interest. Again, this event is not yet official and may or may not happen.

The event would be limited to 40 entries by invitation only. One of the following qualifications must be met to gain a spot on the list.

1. Current Officers/Staff
2. Past Officers/Staff
3. HOTM Winner
4. Event Chair
5. Special Event Volunteer (EV Challenge, Bus Day, etc.)

Examples of each of the qualifications to be considered for entry into this event are as follows:

1. Amy Mindick / Registrar (Officer) -or- PJ Aspesi / Novice Coordinator (Staff)

2. Shawn Whipple / Ex President -or- Karl Schultz / Ex Secretary

3. Stacy King / HOTM Feb. 2006

4. Walter Houston / Event Chair (Sanford 2006)

5. Neil Harrington / EV Challenge -or- Mitch Moore / Bus Day

Spots will be filled using the order of hierarchy above. For instance if you qualify as a Event Chair, but the first three in the order fill up the 40 spots first...sorry, maybe next time. :(

If for some reason the 40 spots are not filled by the above qualified people, the remaining spots will be filled on a first come, first serve, basis. Sorry, NO NOVICES will be considered for entry into this event.

The price will be $20 per entry, cash or check only. No PayPal for this event.

If you would like the opportunity to attend the event please send an e-mail autocross@thscc.com listing your qualification.

I'm not trying to suck up to get in the night time event, well maybe a little, but anyway, with the event being in Greenville it makes it easier for me to help with anything if needed.

Also, what is the timetable for allowing non member to sign up for autocrosses?

Hmmm... this might be just what I was looking for to give Autocrossing another shot :)

I think I'll have a better time in the bimmer than the Z anyway! Although I personally consider myself a novice autocrosser (only two events, and they weren't even REAL THSCC events  )

Bump. I've only received 20 entrants so far. If you would like to join us (if you qualify) please send an e-mail to autocross@thscc.com.

Edit: If you have sent an e-mail, you will not receive a reply unless you are denied because we have went over the limit or you did not qualify. IOW, if I didn't say otherwise by reply, consider yourself in.

The site is near the Hospital in greenville, fake an injury and say you have to go the emergency room!

Site owner was on vacation last week and was busy as hell yesterday. I will try again in a couple of hours.
