I should also add that Carl and Mary put on a clinic over the weekend. Nice driving!

For what it's worth, 2 cars occupy 40% of the top 10 PAX results. One of them has a fair bit of horsepower, one of them doesn't. That seems to indicate this was a pretty fair course.

damn it I should have run TIR, I would have trophied (beat Chris Suich's pax time by .015 pax seconds!). No more HS for me anymore, too bad I wasted the time cutting out magnetic signage for HS. . .

Another THSCC running/flaming debate. :) Or, as some people call it, NOV2. ;)

You run in your regular class and push harder. It will make you faster than just hiding in street tire class. That is what I did last season with my miata but I have never been one to back down from a challenge. Plus you get a really good feeling when you are keeping up with race tired cars and you are on street tires. 8)

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

Yea, but if you beat her, it means something as she is a REALLY good driver (#3 driver at the last event!). Beating someone in TIR/NOV2... meh... I personally prefer to shoot high and come up short rather than pick off low hanging fruit. If you already have someone REALLY good running in your class, that is a GREAT way to get faster quicker than running in a class where you are 'dominating'.

For Example:
Highest 'Indexed' TIR driver -- 37th (realizing that that indexing is totally unfair... but hey, you guys run it).
Highest 'Indexed' HS Driver -- 3rd.

That is just my input, and after giving that....

:Note to self - Run 'Pro' class after posting this: ;)

Carl's times are HS times so

Highest "Indexed" HS Driver -- 1st :)

It's sooo true. Eventually you will find yourself reeling them in timewise. You'd be surprised what you can do with a car when you put a little pressure on yourself to not hit cones, or not lift, etc...

PAX SUX

Oh.. that is correct. Sorry, I was just posting 'the mortals' running in the 'stock' class, and not the 'Pro' class.

PAX isn't an *exact* measurement, but I think it is a good tool. If you are in the Top 20, you are bookin'. Sometimes it is 'with' you, sometimes against. When it isnt -- hack it up! :D

as a member of the low hanging fruit class (sorry i missed the event but Watkins Glen was way too cool) i must say "bite me."

Brice come on over to TIR. it is a low cost way to autoX. (no R tires)

TIR has more entrants than HS, thus more varied competition.

"veterans" will sometimes interlope into TIR

true what Ryan said, but a trophy now and again can't hurt the confidence factor. not that i would know, but i digress.

and lastly, does anyone remember which class the finalists in the bracket race were from? 8)
