In this club:
- If you have a suggestion -- be the first to state "I want to help implement" or "Is there someone I can help do <insert suggestion here>", else, thread flame
- Volunteer to help ALL THE TIME. Then, you get the *right* to talk... sometimes.
- Help out.
In this club, DON'T do the following UNLESS you want to be flamed:
- Come up with reasonable things that MIGHT be better, and just post them on a forum without trying to implement them. You have basically just offended the person that setup the event, and have done nothing to help out.
- Post the day after the event about an issue with the event. This will always lead to the next 400 page flame fest until the next event starts, where everyone will complain about something else in ANOTHER 400 page thread.
- Show up, run, go home early, and post about how things suck.
- Post about how this/that sucked on the course
Basically, to ME, it seems that if you aren't helping out and setting up the events, you are given 0-room to talk and 'complain'. I will admit I have not read your thread, but I have my own that I have endured through. It feels like a 'trade' job where you have to earn your right to any/everything, but once you do, you *can* be generally accepted... or a least in my case, tolerated.

Regardless, I feel you pain. This seems to happen every year, and there is honestly nothing you can do other than just let it go, and help out in the future.
For me, I like to just run faster than others, let them call me a hack, and take home wood. I let them 'have their words'.

If you can suffer through the forums, there are actually some really awesome people in the club.... and for some reason, a few of the people who will jump on you the hardest are acutally some of the nicest guys.
Pretty well stated in it's most simple form Brian. BTW, you're still a HACK!
