Most f-body guys add subframe connectors. If he has those, he will be in Street Mod. It is a stupid rule because they really don't add any autocross performance. They just reduce creaks and pops.

Can you even here creaks and pops in that car?

What? Huh? What?

Damn! For a minute there I thought we were doing something new this year. I would have come out for an event if I knew Chris was bringing "lids".

Well down here in China Grove we never inhaled

You F-body guys crack me up. I added subframe connectors cause it makes it easier to jack up the car

Nice try Walter! Sounded good to me. I even thought the truck load of SLP parts were just considered factory. After all, my friends SS Camaro went to SLP from the factory and it was an order option. So you should all be grandfathered in to use any SLP parts at your disposal. I feel the same way about using DRM and LGM parts on my car

No, that's true. We would have to jack the car up 4x's or jack the front tire over a foot off the ground to get the rear tire off the ground. It is hard for me to lift a 52 lb. tire and rim that high at my age. The sub frame lets us put it in the middle of the car.
There is a big debate on the frrax forum about petitioning the SCCA to make sub frames legal in ESP. Most say the performance gain is minimal and they don't want the extra weight. Others believe the rule is a horrible injustice.
I'll just run SM so my other mods are legal. I couldn't beat Art or Randy in ESP anyway!

hha yeah thanks.. see how better tires and the "real thing" as opposed to test and tune help.. all i learned from that is if you get in the gas to hard, understeer corrects itself in a big hurry!

Been there and done that! Did that at Sanford too and left the runway sideways at about 45 mph in a cloud of dust. I'm just glad it was very dry and the transition from the runway to dirt was smooth. Remember - both feet in!
