If you would have been there you would have seen it first hand!

What happened on Sunday, you cant "hack" it 2 days in a row? :wink:

Har har!

Stacy got a last minute 'you are going on a work related thing to Az', flew out on Th, arrived Sunday at the airport.

That is something that I wanted to be present for, so that took priority over autoX. I did my duty and taught the day before ;)

That course map shows the whole lane change wrong. It was left-right-left, then right gate.

Hence the disclaimer!!!

FWIW, when I walked the course, I memorized it as "4 section lane change enter left". I "called" that fourth gate part of the lane change for memorization purposes.

I personally think the course totally sucked. I blame the course designer totally for my poor performance yesterday. Its all his fault. :wink:

Seriously though, the sweeper was just nutz. First time I've ever gone into third before entering the sweeper! What gear were you STI guys getting into? Sixth? :D

Its worse in person, there is dirt in the arm rests, dash, CD Player, EVERYWHERE!

Considering that I've done that to Les's car at Laurinburg, and a couple of agricultural excursions in your car at VIR, I can't complain. At least you covered up the hole in the dash under the head unit - that would have been a nice place for dirt to collect ;-)

Way to go VK. It's nice to note that my old car was definitely held back by it's previous driver. :oops:

Pfttt... gears? All i have in mine is a button for gas, a button for brake and a 'faux' wheel that makes it look like I am driving.

Seriously, the 3 diffs do all the rest.

Kevin thought we'd run out of 3rd after the sweeper and into the slalom. I never hit 4th, though.

For us

2nd = 58
3rd = 78
4th = 100+

Even though I wasnt there, I can almost assure you that I would been in 4th on that course. :)

Ok, with my wheel and tire combo I can do 83 in 3rd, I thought it was lower than that!! I doubt I was close to the limiter.

I am guessing I was doing about 65-70 in my ES miata so you should have been going faster.

So you guys talking about having to shift to fourth all of the time when that gear runs out at 78 is complete and utter bullshit. Gotcha.

I was doing ~5800RPM in third, based on my in-car video of my last run, whatever that works out to. I'd guess 70ish as well.

What sweeper? I expected to find a sweeper at the end of the runway, but all I found was two pivots that reminded me of the label on a bottle of Drain-O. I guess you're talking about the turn onto the taxiway when you say 'sweeper'. That was fun, as always, and not as slippery as I expected when I saw the packed sand in the potholes while I was walking the course.

Im only hauling the mail with a 1.6 Liter, so I make roughly the same power as you stock 1.8 guys.
