Hey gang, I just wanted to post and say thank you. Here it is barely after 6 Monday morning and I still have a big grin on my face. I had a ton of fun and learned a lot about me as a driver as well as some of my car's limits.
When I did a school many moons ago, I felt like an outsider. It was almost like the NOV on my car was a badge of shame. Other than the school the day before, no one seemed willing to help. Definitly not the case this past weekend.
I thought the school was very well put together and I like the way it was run.
Yesterday was great too, I just wish I had personally done better than I had.
I have one thought regarding the novice mentor program. It was a little chaotic that morning to find a mentor and make arrangements to ride, have a rider etc. By that time we had already picked our work assignments, etc. Maybe for the future, when a novice registers online they can request a mentor (if they have worked with one in the past) or they could get an e-mail from Dan with contact info for a mentor and they can make arrangements before the event even starts. In the event of a walk-on novice have a couple of mentors in reserve to pick them up. Again just a thought....
So thanks again for making me feel welcome and not bashing on my 3 DNFs

Thanks also to Cosby for coaching me the majority of the weekend.
I look forward to running again in Sanford and hopefully moving my completed run percentage to 50%!
