I down loaded the new SCCA pdf to go over the STS rules. I see the headings for STS and STX under street touring. From a THSCC standpoint, where do we get the rulings for STS2, STU, STX and the other classes that I don't readily see in the SCCA rule book. Sorry, I should know this, but I don't.

Thanks for the insight....

Yes, they are supplemental classes in the National world. This means that they will have their own classes at events (Nationals does require a minimum of 25 competitors for a supplemental class in order to be a class), but the winner at Nationals/ProSolo champion for the class does not get a jacket (nor is an official national champion). Most supplemental classes become official classes in about 3 years as long as they can make a 'full' class at Nationals each year. - AB

ah, so was there an STU class at nationals last year? i ask because in the '05 rule book STU was listed as a 'normal' class wasnt it? and for '06 its supplemental. so was it reduced to supplimental or has it always been?

Always been....

SCCA had some pretty big errors in the printing of the 06 rules. Thats one of them. They also put ALL the Miata's on the same line in SP. I'm sure there are others.

SCCA
