The Civic has niether. Esplain that one...

I haven't made a THSCC event in a while :( But I have a REAL limited slip now and I run STX in Highlands night series. I own it (when my co-driver Walt Puckett doesn't show...)

It was a comment about how the celica makes power, at the very top of the rpm range, same with its torque.

While a Civic may have less peak hp and torque, it makes more of it down low, and sooner vs the celica.

You've obviously never saw my dyno charts after the ECU tuning. I made 20#ft more than stock from 3000 rpms up to 6500 rpms. I had a lot more torque than any Civic, all over the curve. When you compared torque/lb, I was on par with the top Civics. My problem? Wheelspin. In a straight line, there wasn't a single car (RSX-S included) that was STS legal that could hang with mine. Problem is, coming out of a corner, I could barely get in the throttle, even with 1500 Newtons of compression and 900# rear springs keeping as much of the front tires on the ground as possible. - AB

I agree... although, I think this hack has a good chance of doing well this year in an RX-8 ;) - AB

Yah, maybe... and I think this ex-STS hack has a good chance of driving while looking through the side windows a lot this year. :D

Damn, boy- that's a lot of Newtons! If I ate that many, my front tires would be planted but good! You probably have a more balanced weight distribution, though. Have another 1500 and see if that helps...

I saw your dyno at the last THSCC day, and unless it got a lot better than days' runs I'd still bet on a STS tuned civic being faster.

Holy Cow batman!!! We have 11 STS drivers for the first event if you count the NOV drivers, 7 if you go with classed drivers. Should be an interesting year if this is any indication!! BTW Mitch, glad to see you made it!

Let the drifting begin!!

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.
