As 2006 approaches, we know that you are all anxiously awaiting any news that will help you make plans for next season. First, this is going to be the forum for all of our announcements, so please spread the word and feel free to post any text you find here on other bulletin boards so we can reach as many folks as possible.
If you are reading this, you are probably already aware that class information for 2006 is posted here on scca.com under Garage.
Good news for everyone! There will be no ProSolo license requirement for 2006. There will be only a slight increase in entry fees to offset this loss of revenue. We hope this will encourage a lot of folks to enter more than one event.
No more indexing for F125! F125's have achieved enough entries to have their own class in 2006. Hope to see lots more of you out there.
More good news-Bob Tunnel will be returning as ProSolo Chief Steward. We continue to appreicate Bob's wise counsel and the personal sacrifices that he makes to give back to the sport.
We are feverishly working on the 2006 schedule. A little over half of our sites and dates are confirmed and we will publish the schedule as soon as it is a little more settled. Several of our sites are making improvements that will give us more space. The first event of the year will be the Ft. Myers National Tour, February 18 & 19. As usual, we will have a Pro and a Tour in Southern California in March, but cannot yet confirm which weekends. Other venues you can plan on will be Pro's in Atwater and Packwood and Tours at Devens, Packwood and Little Rock. Little Rock and Packwood really put themselves on the map in 2005 by showing they know how to host an event. Support, cooperation and enthusiasm for hosting events next year has been outstanding from all our regions. A big thanks to all of you!!!!
More big announcements coming soon-so keep checking here and spread the word.
Also rumor has it that the Arkansas date will be a double weekend - Tour then Pro.
More details to follow.
