Finally, yes, the Viper School is a go.

I will need 15-18 instructors for this. Please email me at b1mmer@earthlink.net if you want to instruct, including shirt size desired. As long as you have moderate experience autocrossing, you shouldn't be turned away. (I have a spamblocker running, but will 'allow' your email each evening if you're not already on the approved list)

What you receive for instructing:

1) Free Viper School T-Shirt ($12 value)
2) Free entry into the following day's Non-points event
3) Free lunch
4) Some seat time at lunch and near the end of the event

What you have to do at the event:

1)Instruct 2 sessions
2) Shag cones for a session
3) Have a happy face :)

Date:

October 29th (Saturday)

Schedule:

8:00 am - 4:00pm (details to follow)

Site:

Sanford

So you want to attend the school rather than instruct/volunteer, here are the details:

1) $50 for the day, includes lunch
2) $12 extra if you want a shirt
3) You will get more seat time/instruction than you can imagine
4) You don't have to shag a cone all day :)
5) You get to run with the Vipers during their autocross towards the end of the day

If interested, contact Debbie Cade (VP of NC/SC/VA Viper Club) at: Deb78@aol.com

This is our 4th year of this, and the courses are very interesting and very open. You'll see everything from first gen Vipers (where the build quality was quite suspect) to 2005 Competition Coupes (yes, factory race cars). The Viper folks are very cool and fun group to work with, thus it's a pleasure to help them out and make some money for the club.

It will be fun wathcing the competition coupe run. Henry runs it on a national circuit and it will be his wife's first time behind the wheel. She is a good driver and experienced in running vipers at AutoX. Ironically, their last name is Cone :)

I have no desire to drive (even though it would be fun), don't have it in me to instruct, but am willing to grab cones at random. :D I'll be there (barring some unfortunate incident) to spectate and help. :)

Oooh... let's break out the Radar gun for this one :)

"Man, I heard the guy who just went was 3mph faster through that section than you!! You gonna take that?"

:spin!:

:D

Ps. Can we convince them that a 'burn out' contest is always apart of autoX?

The radar gun would be a big hit with the Viper crowd.

I worked with Janni for about 8 years. Known Henry for about 6 years. They were the President/VP of the club up until 2 years ago. See the link of why we've done this ;)

He took me on a ride in his former Motorola Cup Viper. The Comp. Coupe is awesome. Janni, although slower on track, is a better overall autocrosser than Henry. :) - AB

I sure will when I'm not running. Henry has asked me to run to get a mix of cars in.

They're pretty cool people. Henry and I work together. I keep challenging him to 100ft races against his SRT-10 but he won't take me up on it :)
