Any word on a published schedule? I could have sworn I saw one on their web site but I can't seem to find it now. I know the first car is off at noon but when does registration and tech open/close?

Thanks,

Jim

Found some info:
reg/tech opens 9:00
reg closes 1 hr before 1st heat.
First heat Sun ??? (must be after 11:00, they have a noise curfew before then)

Only 47 preregistrations!?! Looks like we'll get a lot of runs! 8)

See you guys tomorrow. I am planning on being there around 9am.

should be a ton of runs... there results show that at the last event w/ 80 drivers they had 5 runs each... with under 50 drivers we should add at least one more to that.

Got to love an event at VMP with only 60 drivers! The weather was awesome and we managed to get 6 runs in. By the 5th run the V710's were getting way too hot on the Z.

The course was laid out by Mike "Jr" Johnson and Rod McGeorge...both driving Mike's new ASP Z06. So there was one stupid fast section :) that led into a fairly tight little slalom and then another blast. The heavy offsets towards the end did break up a nice flowing course...no one is perfect in course design ;)

The new experience was driving a solid rear axle car! In the stupid fast section my head hit the roof going over a couple of the VMP bumps. Then screaming down into the far turn around, the car shook so much the shifter went from 2nd into neutral  Quite a surprise when you go to jump on the gas and ain't nothing there.

First car off was at noon and I was back on the road at 3:45 ... not a bad day.

Jim,

The bumps at VMP used to be VERY good practice, etc. for me and my car for the bumps at Forbes. Don't know where we East Coasters will get to practice/tune for the new smooth asphalt at HPT. Of course if transporters at HPT make similar bumps we will be all set.

FYI the bumps made my glasses fall off my nose once as I was braking from "70 plus". One of the NASA events had the bumps placed such that my car was pitching sideways as I entered a slalom, again after braking from 70 plus. Great fun.

I agree - it was a good event. The course was fun and fast.

As expected both Jr and McGeorge should were fast. When I left McGeorge had me by around 1 second and Jr had him by half a second (with 3 runs to go).

Now... where are the results>!?!?

Since their computer was down, someone will need to hand enter the times so I'd expect it will be a little while before results are available.

PS registration is open for 10/30.

Hmmm...McGeorge put his STi for sale Monday morning. I guess that what happens when you drive an ASP Z06 :)

Anyone who wants a well set up STi...contact Rod McGeorge.
