I would say NLT 3 STi's in both the top 5 raw times and top 5 pax times would be a good bet, but I'm not placing it. :P

I'll put $10 dollars on 3 STi's NOT being in both the top 5 pax and top 5 raw. Anyone want to bet me?

It's for charity! If I win, then charity gets $20, if I lose, then charity get's at least $10.

I'll do my part to make sure I win

Whose STi are you co-driving? Mike Chenery's?

Rich Frederick - although it appears he has forgotten to pre-register.

But I'll run Mike Chenery's if I can use the same class index he signed up with... 8)

Scouting Report:

I dont know what you guys are thinking putting me in your top 5s. I would have Keith Q there as he cleared me by 1 second EASY at Greenville, and everytime he has been in that STi, he has been BLAZING fast.

I would put him as a Top 5, and move me out to the alternates. I am sporting a 'sketchy' suspension at this point :)

Top 5 Raw:

1. Les Davis
2. Kevin Allen
3. Keith Q.
4. Marcus McRae
5. Chris Landi -- Sporting the new re-tuned STi :D
A - B. Herring

Top 5 PAX:

1. Some Miata/Celica
2. Another Miata/celica
3. Sti
4. ST.
5. STi

(I will fill those in, in a bit).

- dow

Whoops! I missed the presence of the Dook FSAE AM car. Guess fate just doesn't want me to get an FTD this season.

So Kevin, I need to know what you'll be driving so I can rank you accordingly...

Plan is to drive an STi with a rear bar and a TBE (otherwise stock) in STU.

I'd definitely put Keith ahead of me, whether he's on ESP tires or STU tires. Brian and Marcus, I'm not so sure about. It will be fun whatever the results are, though.

Using the PAX is a little unfair to the race rubber crowd. Our fastest times occur on runs 3 and 4 when the tires are heated up. That is why I have to favor the ST when my money will be on the line.

As this will be the last THSCC event for the MR2 :( we may have some surprises left in us.

But I learned never bet on yoursef, your college team or your home town team ...heart is heart, money is money

I took top pax back in May on my first run. Cold tires and everything. If your competition all cones out, anything can happen :)

Now there's a bet:

I bet so-and-so cones out (I'd be a good candidate for that one).

Um, I don't think you'd be able to get anyone other than a complete fool to bet against you on that one. :)

My $5 sez that PAX will turn out something like:

1. Carl Fisher- the most consistent driver
2. Scott Johnson- 1wd DS crusher
3. James Feinburg- honda w/ 5x the mileage as mine, but 5x as fast
4. Brian "dow" Herring- hacking his way to PAX top ten again & again...
5. Dustin Frederickson- getting quicker and quicker

6. (alternate) Kevin Allen- kicked ass in someone else's V Dub, this time it'll be in someone else's STi boostmobile

Guess you must be running last year's tires, the SO5s and 710s grip best on first runs. At Topeka the grid looked like the Nascar pits during a caution, tire changes after each run.
