Hot and humid weather is on tap this weekend.
Strong high pressure building into the mid atlantic will produce hot and humid conditions over central north carolina this weekend. Afternoon highs on both Saturday and Sunday will climb into the mid and upper 90s, producing heat indexes in the 105 to 110 degree range. A heat advisory will likely be issued for both saturday and Sunday.
People planning outdoor activities this weekend should plan to limit their exposure to the sun in the middle of the day and avoid strenuous activity outdoors during the hottest period between noon and 600 pm. The elderly and young children are most vulnerable and should be monitored closely during this period of added heat stress. Adequate shade and drinking water should be factored into any outdoor plans for the weekend.
A cold front from the northern midwest is expected to push cooler and drier air into the region by Monday. This should put an end to this hot spell and bring more seasonable temperatures to central north carolina for next week.

FYI, Greenville is not in Wilson County. It is right next door though in Pitt County.

It will be very hot, so bring sunscreen and plenty of water!

Weather.com for Greenville shows 99 on Sunday. I didn't bother to keep reading for the 'feels like' temperature. I know how to extrapolate....and come up with FREAKIN' HOT!

I just got back from the site, it is VERY HOTTT. Please bring PLENTY of water.

The one good thing we have going for us is a SUPER nice site owner. He will have the building open to us with a VERY good A/C. That helps out alot.

See some of you tonight, the rest on Sunday!

One thing I do not miss about THSCC is autocrossing in Eastern NC in July and August. You guys can totally have that crap. I did that for too many years and burned up too many brain cells. I'll stick to the Asheville night series events during the summer. The first one in late May??? You needed long pants and a jacket.
