FYI

Quote:
National Auto Sport Association's Virginia Region is hosting another combination autocross and US Drift event at Cloverleaf Mall on Saturday November 15th, 2003.

For autocrossers, it's limited to 40 cars (two heats of 20) and the price is $50. Just like last time, that price gets you unlimited runs before lunch and one or two timed/scored runs in the afternoon. Each run is two laps of the course. During the entire day you can get 8+ two-lap runs (16+ laps total), depending upon how many cars show up (less cars = more runs, of course!)

For drifters, the price is $35 and the number of practice runs depends upon how many cars show up - but it's a whole bunch of runs as usual, I'm sure.

There is no pre-registration (yet!) ... just show up by 8:30 that morning and sign-in. There aren't many details online (yet!) but if you have any questions, please call NASA-VA Director Chris Cobetto at 804-275-3332.

There may be details online soon at http://www.nasaracing.net but I'm not sure at this point. One thing I know is that just like last time... it will be a blast :-)

Man, I have been wanting to try some driftin'. 205 Azenis on the front and 185 Goodyear all-seasons on the rear should do it :)

Tempting :)

I might make the trip up there just for the seat time... I could care less about the classing method, but with only 13 points of mods, I don't even move out of the 'stock' class. With only 50 cars there, and 'practice' time, It will be worth it to set my car up. - AB

It is a pretty cool classing system. No more PAX Aaron, we would run straight up 8)

That is some mighty big talk from a PAX boy. :o It is about time you came out of the closet.

15 slots are still available ... and they haven't asked for any dough yet either.

Well, after a lot of talk, I'm bailing out. I'm sending my Koni's off to Koni to be revalved and new snap rings put on, and I'm also sending my intake off to TRD to be bench flowed. Thus, a car on jackstands isn't very competitive. :( - AB

I'll let you guys know how it went Monday ... I think that I'm going to need good sunglasses to keep my vision with all of the bling that's going to be at the drifting event though.

Have fun! I'd like to see some video posted too, if you have that option. I had signed up and would be there with you, but 3 days in a row autoxing is just too much...

I'll see if others there are doing that, and try to get them sent to me if they're available.
