Ok, enough saying I am going to buy a 914. As of today, I have. :redcool:

Jason Panciera knew someone with a local car that fit what I was looking for. Will be moving it from the previous owners place to mine early next week.

It is a 1972 1.7. It has a number of items that will need to be addressed before you see it at an autocross. Depending upon how productive I am, there is a very remote chance you will see it ready for late next year. I am going to build it out for DSP right now (2.0L engine now via update/backdate) and then SM2 or higher (911 six cylinder engine swap) later on.

I am going to keep a project page up-to-date with the build up of the car. For now here is a quick photo.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Keep the 1.7 and run ST2!

Would be a cool car in ST2.

Nice, an other P car that will do autocross.
You will need to become a member of PCA now.

Have fun.

Wes is right. The amount of storage space in a 914 is not insignificant. I have no doubt I could put a weeks worth of groceries for a family of four in the car and still have room for a passenger!

I'm so happy for you, I don't know what to do... :D :D :D :D
You deserve that car! I hope the 2.0 swap is relatively uneventful.
