just so i am ahead of the game here is the laundry list. i am guessing DSP.

cold air box
light weight flywheel
chip/programmer
SS brake lines

supension upgrade:
non adjustable shocks
springs
sway bars (F & R)
various bushings & mounts

shifter, clutch, maybe rotors, maybe control arms.

so, if the bmw is done for greenville it is NOV 3 DSP or not then NOV 3 SS. thanks for the input

Damn Steve I hear ya. Looks like you have dropped some bones on the Beamer. Who is installing all of that stuff for you?

As far as your question, yes I believe you are correct....DSP

what do you mean by "various" - this will determine whether it's DSP or something higher - that is, if control arms are legal to swap.

Dave's Automotive, Chris, is doing the work. i am looking forward to driving it when it is done. he did Mitch's bmw. yes, the wife may have a sh** fit over this.

Kevin, the control arms may get swapped if they are worn, and going back with stock arms. however a sport urethane bushing either way. M3 shock mounts flipped for castor advance. (i am paraphrasing to the best of my ability there) everything else should be stock. tranny mounts and rear shock mounts. what is above DSP? and can i run this in TIR next season?

also - you can download the current rule book here (right click, save target as):

http://www.scca.com/_filelibrary/File/2005SoloRules.pdf

(I looked through my copy and didn't see control arms mentioned in SP section - & if it's not mentioned you can't do it)

ok; a lot of Subaru people put the STi control arms on their WRXes - which is legal for STX now, but only if you don't have camber/caster plates. Didn't know you meant stock arms.

Sounds like DSP.

Also, there's a lot going on above DSP. SM would be the next step up - and you can even swap the engine if you go there! :D

Steve, I was going to suggest STS but then I saw that you are going to have a light weight flywheel so no STS. Looks like DSP for you.

Are you doing the full race suspension? I did not and now wish I had. Regardless you'll love the way the car handles with the new springs, shocks, and bars.

With that chip/programmer, can you adjust cam timing? - AB

You'll need to find out. Cam timing is currently illegal in DSP. There is a proposal to make it legal in 2006. You can only do Air/Fuel Adjustments and static timing changes. - AB
