I was thinking the same thing, C&C? That modification does not even come close to C&C. I wouldn't be posting too much about it.

By the way, do you know a shift light is allowed. I checked with Andy Hollis on this. Hmmmmmm. If you ever saw the dyno on a NA MR2, you know you want to up shift well before redline.

No, specifically allowed under supplimental rules. The allowance to disable the handbrake lock mechanism by "such means as removing the spring, taping or pinning" was put in at my request when wheel chocking was disallowed.

Chuck is actually right about this. After rolling through the damn lights at the Pro Finale, I was told it was legal to pull the locking pin on the ebrake to help with starts.....

I think the best bet on this is to take the car to a drag strip test n' tune and practice, try different techniques and look at the resulting 60' time on your slip, that will tell you the effectiveness of the launch technique. There is no "one" perfect answer, every car I've ever driven has been different. Most cars like a little wheel spin though, some more than others. Allthough the Mustang, much to my surprise, launches best with little to no wheelspin.

Yep, I modestly refer to it as "Chuck's rule" LOL!
it's easier to do like we did, push the button in, and drill a 1/16" hole near the end of the handle, making sure it passes thru the button. We put a small headed nail in the hole at prosolos. It takes just a moment to pull it out again to restore the functionality for parking.
