Is there any interest in doing this? Keep in mind we'll be having a repair day 1 week later. If it's one weekend vs the other, the repairs take priority.

Where? I'd love to have a real test and tune with timed segments i.e. a 6 cone 50 or 60 pace slallom, a large sweeper, a 20-25 sec mini course (WITHOUT pivot cones!) With no formal run groups, just get in line at whatever section you want to test on. Working could be by time, work an hour in the AM and again in the PM. I'd go for two days of that to prepare for nationals!

Um, yeah, that would be useful info.

Where = Laurinburg, and as of now, we're planning to reserve both days.

Format is still TBD, right now I'm going to leave the course logistics to Eric P. and the remainder of the event logistics will fall to me.

We can run two timers, but only have one display, so if we're going to use more than one we have to be creative. If someone in Triad wants to volunteer their display for the weekend we could make things easier.

The current plan would be to set up on Saturday AM and have the event start Sat. noonish. Sunday would start whenever we want and stop early enough for me to get the bus back to Apex before dark.

LOL! When will this T&T become official and registration open? The reason I ask is there are a couple events out of state that weekend we would attend if this doesn't happen and registration is filling up. Will there be attendence restrictions?

I heard from the THSCC Drift Master (some 240sx) that we were going to be setting up a drift event.

Is this is in the P-Section? :D

Sorry... had to ask.

This event WILL happen, registration will be open soon.

There will be some attendence restrictions, with an emphasis/special treatment given to people planning the trip to nationals, then to members with enough experience (to be determined, we always need cone shaggers, so it's just enough experience so people know how to behave and not be in the way).

We want to keep it small, with only enough people to adequately run the event each day (no point in doing a test and tune if you can't test and tune).

It seems ideal that we could run 3 groups. Run, work, rest. We'll try to make non-nationals people be the first rest and work groups that way the nationals folks don't waste time.

For 3 groups we would need a minimum of 45 people per day, with a likely maximum of 60 per day. (TBD).

Cost will likely be in the ballpark of $30-40 per day, and will be flexible to make sure we cover costs no matter how many people show up.
