Really the only way to do it is to have somebody ride along with you (preferably at a school), then have them drive the car so that they emphasize what you're doing wrong (by doing it right!

) - not necessarily to show you what the car can do. Tom Hoppe did that for me at my first school, and it was one of those "oh... I see...

" sort of things. Don't expect instant results once you've been shown, though. It takes lots of practice to finally get it right.
Also, it's not so much about driving techniques for AWD vs. for whatever else when you're a novice; it's more about knowing where to go fast vs. where to go slow. Any of the faster guys can show you that. Once you get pretty good at knowing what to do with the course, that's when you can concentrate on getting 100% out of the car.
We haven't been doing too many fun runs this year for some reason, but if you plan to come to the Saturday evening event in Greenville, I'll give you rides in the WRX. And if you want a co-driver in the R32 on Sunday...
