Just wanted to give a huge public THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the Chick School.

First, thanks to Christine and Sally for being excellent co-chairs and really picking up the slack for me when I had to leave on Saturday. (being sick sucks!!!) :(

Thanks to our instructors and workers who really did an outstanding job. I've heard nothing but great comments.

Extra huge thanks to our sponsors:
Charles Frank, Goldsmith
February Associates
McGeorge Toyota
Anon (you know who you are and we can't thank you enough!!!)

Special thanks to Donna Frank for taking the initiative to include "coupons" for all the students. EXCELLENT IDEA!!! And by the way, your name was mentioned multiple times as providing outstanding course walking instruction.

Thanks to the team that helped set up the course on a VERY hot Friday afternoon (Eric, Christine, Amy and Kevin) and to Scott and Kevin for helping with final setup on Saturday morning.

Now.....if we ever figure out which male thought it was a good idea to have the Danville airport on the day of a CHICKS ONLY school as the meeting place before you all went karting at VIR....... :stick:

Thanks to all the lovely ladies who put together the Chicks school. My fiancee had a BLAST. I think it has lit a small fire for her to autox at least a time or two a year. Before Saturday she always said she "couldnt". I never heard her say that she couldnt on Sunday.

Excellent work ladies!

I heard my name tossed around a few times on this, but I was only there to unload the car for Judi and then I left...as promised. I know Judi was very appreciative too, not that she wasn't capable of unloading the car, but some women still appreciate chivalry. I did not suggest it as a meeting place though, all other men (with the exception of my brother who was my ride out) were there independent of me.

Judi had a great time at the school, and I think she will probably come back out for a few events a year. Thanks to her instructors and the event chairs for making it happen.

I forgot one of the biggest thank you's to Amy Mindick for offering her car to my sister when she got a nail in her tire.

Amy, that was WAY COOL of you and most appreciated. I know she had a blast!! :cheer:

We were glad to help out by becoming a sponsor. Donna and I both see the great value in this school, and hope to see it become a permanent part of the club's annual schedule. I don't believe this type school is being done anywhere else.
PS did anyone happen to take any pictures?

I know our camera got moved from poit a to point be, but I don't know if there was any point and shoot. Sally says there was. I'll try to check tonight.

I suddenly have a vague memory of someone...hmmm....possibly Christine... pointing one of those contraptions at us as we sat in line and making me look at smile instead of looking away. :refuse:

:D

Chuck - after the first chick school, I shared the idea with some C-stock ladies at Nationals. They ran with the idea and they now hold an annual chicks only school in Kansas. (They gave me the idea to have magnetics made!) I love to see an idea take off!!!

Many, Many thanks to everyone that helped make the "Chick School" so much fun and informative. I know that this school took a lot of time and energy to put it on and I am extremely thankful and grateful for all the help and support offered. I have more confidence in my driving and will be able to relax and have more fun at the next Autocross event.

Thank you again, for all of the hard work
.

I had an absolute BLAST!!! Thanks to everyone. Vicki and I had so much fun and feel like we learned a lot in a great environment. :D

Christine-- Thanks for all of your help and encouragement. It was nice to have my own personal cheerleader in the car Saturday morning and then to have you checking in with us on Sunday! :car:

It was a great weekend! Let's do it earlier in the year next year! (Especially since I won't be eligible for "Novice" status next year.) I'll need all the refreshing I can get.

It was incredibly rewarding to see so many smiles on the lady drivers' faces who were participating Sunday. :D I loved it.
