Looking forward, it seems like there is a desire to have a course design where "Less is more". Would it upset the applecart to have a low 30 second course at Greenville that had fewer elements?
Im not saying thats whats gonna happen but my personal goal is to win the award for fewest cones used in a weekend, seriously.
Ryan,
Think two laps per run. We've done it at Morrisville on a tiny lot and we used to do it at the Fairgrounds in Raleigh. I learned at a site in California that was slightly smaller than Greenville and always used multiple laps to keep the speeds and run times reasonable (30 to 60 mph for Stock and Street Prepared).
Greenville lends itself to multiple lap runs with relatively few but fairly open turns per lap (think minature road race track). By not having to "nest" the course inside itself to get enough distance you can have faster speeds while maintaining plenty of room to the fence and other obstacles (such as course worker stations

) Also, Finishes can be quick when you have plenty of shut down space available.
