That's right, mark your calendars! We need a big Tarheel turnout. You guys don't want Triad claiming more championships and trophies than Tarheel, do you???

It's gonna be at the Greensboro Coliseum this year. Two day National-style format. Geoff Zimmer designed the course. There will be an event hotel and we believe setup on Friday will be available (tech will be available at the event hotel as well as the site assuming we get it for Friday). The event hotel is decent and will be $70 per night (I don't remember particulars right now). Cost will be $50 for both days (you can run one day only for $25, but you can not trophy if you do that). Everyone who runs both days will get an event shirt as part of their registration fee, and I'm told there will be very good trophies (if you trophy you'll get it at the event and you'll have an engraved plaque with your name on it mailed to you later).

There will be no Novice group, but Novices are still welcome to run normal classes.

Keep your eyes on http://www.soloii.com for updates over the next week. You can register for the event on myautoevents.com now, but we should have a link on the web page soon, as well as hotel info and all that.

It's a little late in the coming together, but I really think Triad will put on a good event. I'd really like to see a bunch of Tarheelers out there!

It's been on our calendar all along, the only decision will be what we drive.

No dice for me... I'm decomissioning the Celica and selling out. I'll be running an RX-8 for Toledo Pro and '06. - AB

I know where you can borrow an STi for the NCAC. It's sort of like an RX-8, only with more power, two more drive wheels, and different handling. :)

Donnie, I've always thought it would be neat if we at Tarheel actually organized a strategy to try and see how many classes we could fill. It would be really neat if we were able to post a list of classes and THSCC participants somewhere and then try to recruit somebody for each class, or at least the ones that have participants. I mean this would be an all out club assault and we'd all be working together to conquer this event! And of course, all of our members could run the THSCC logo on their cars at the event.

Some people may have flexibility in what classes they run, or which car they drive etc... and with a little coordination and some persuasion, we ought to be able to put a good effort together as a club. I don't really expect this to happen.... but .. maybe?

Mostly, it's Just a fun thought...

Or maybe it's as simple as starting a thread with a list of classes and having people just respond as to what class they are going to run in for NCAC.... and we can update the list as info comes in.

Miles, I think that's a great idea!

So, who is in? I think our current plan is the same as last year...Chris and I will run the Miata in CS. Eric will run it in CSP.

Come on, folks! Step up!

I think we can fight for a several bragging areas. Most drivers from a club, most classes entered, most classes won, etc.

Donna will probably run the Celi in GS. My choice is to run the Miata against Donnie and Chris or the Celica against Donna

I'm going to try to get there with the Vette in AS. If I can talk my trusty co-driver into it as well, I'm happy for him to join me.

If any of you guys have time, we can start compiling an easy to read class list with participants and blank spots to see where the gaps are. I won't be able to do that for awhile...
