Woah. So I pay 50 dollars to essentially split what would be a one day THSCC event (6 runs) over two days and bring home wood for THSCC?

The last time I talked to the Triad guys, they said we will be getting 4 runs per day. Possibly 5 if some of you chumps don't sign up/show up...

Brian, we really don't need that type of sarcasm in this thread. As always, if you've got something to bitch about, do something about it yourself instead of tearing others down.

Like I said before, the ball may be in our court next year and it would be nice to have the other clubs support at that time. And hey, perfect opportunity to actually do something productive...

4 or 5 runs???

Hey, all you losers - stay home!!!! Nobody wants you there, anyway!!!! THSCC doesn't need all these trophies, and neither do you, so what's the point of going?

(off to other clubs' forums to spread the word... )

That is what I had heard when talking with the Triad guys also.

This is from the TSCC Forum:

"Cars can be left at the Coliseum. They will have a night security guard there. Due to very restricted parking at the event Hotel it would be best if everyone can at least leave their trailers there who are planning to stay at the hotel. The hotel can arrange to have a few trailers in their parking lot, but it's going to fill up fast. I'll have that logistics problem finalized next week."

Make your own assessment whenyou arrive. :?

Fresh off the Triad boards by the Vice President of the Club. There will be three runs all taken during the same session each day. The course will be the same for both days but will be run backwards on the 2nd day.

Bernie and I will be there to do our part for HS and HSL. At least THSCC will be represented in HS. And, we'll have our hands out so getting our butts handed to us will go easier. Hey, Mary and Carl, don't see your names on the entry list yet. Where are you? :P

You tell'em Gwen!

Maybe we need some additional call-outs to get some of our better drivers off their butts.

Does anybody need a roommate for Sat night in Greensboro? I would really like to stay there but the $70 asking price is a bit high for me to do it alone.

Just a Heads Up-
Justin Barbry says the hotel in Greensboro, Park Lane @ Four Seasons has been giving some folks calling for reservations with NCAC a hard time, not honoring the $70 rate. I didn't have any problem getting reservations myself, but he says he'll get it straingtened out tomorrow. Stick to your guns and get your rate, or let Justin know.

I would suggest you try the Comfort Inn at the Koury Blvd Exit off I-40.

My rate: $59.46 for 2 dbl beds or 1 king. (Actually, I'm getting the AARP deal 8) ), The Internet Rate is $62. About $72 including the tax, I'd guess.
All the extras, including HSWireless, breakfast, etc.
Plus, there's plenty of parking on Veasley Street, if necessary.

Why screw around with an outfit that welch's on the original deal! Hell with 'em, I say. Stay someplace else. Apparently, the Park Lane doesn't give a rat's ass for our business.

Looks like they may try to do 4 runs. Stay tuned!

It is a lot safer to set the expectations at 3 runs and if it all works out go to 4 runs. I think they are doing the smart thing. The 3 runs in one session is the sure bet to get the most cars through in the time they have.

Plus, three runs in one session with the pressue of the competition is a lot. You have to be fast on the very first run and then improve the next two. Right out of the gate it is show time. Gives me the chills just thinking about it :)

I agree, but that doesn't mean I can't keep my fingers crossed for 4 runs. :)

I am not sure if has been mentioned, but you will run with your class. If they do it right; all the ES cars will grid together and run together. My guess you will know your work/run groups on Saturday morning. Those will not change on Sunday.
