I may reconsider going, Jim F you have motivated me slightly.

It all really depends on when my LSD transmission goodness gets back in my hands.

Hey, if I can motivate just one, I feel my work is worthwhile! 8)

Seriously folks, sign up! Triad has a great group of guys running the show and I think they are doing an awesome job this year. We need to show our support for the series and the effort they are putting into it.

They really need a fairly accurate head count since they have to order shirts, trophies, food, etc. They are putting a lot of effort into this and have gathered a bunch of prizes to be handed out at some point during the day.

What else could you ask for? A good (non-runway) site close by with good competition and the chance to call yourself the state champ for a year. Food onsite with real bathrooms and shade. The chance to win cool free stuff and a shirt to remember it all by. Everything a growing boy or girl could ever need!!! :redcool:

Jim

I can possibly run one day only. Is this allowed or will my second day DNS/DNF's negate any times from the previous day?

Pretty sure you can run one day only, but trophies are based on times from two days.

Registered. So far, DS is the biggest class of the event.

Damn, back to back posts..

What's with impounding? Do all cars have to be locked in impound the night before?

Chris-
What are you referring to with your reference to impound? Normally impound is just a delay after you run group finishes its runs to allow for any competitors to make a protest of equipment issues. At this level, there is usually no issues made and after a 10-15 minute wait, everyone is released. Normally it would have nothing to do with overnight - are you mixing this with Nascar?

Rick,

I read the Triad forums and a question was asked about security in the impound area for all the cars that would be there over night. Sounds like this is simply for drop off for people trailering to the event, I suppose? Thanks for the info.

You're right the Triad reference is to a convient and safe spot to leave your car/tailer/etc.

How does Triad do run groups? National style with only 1 set of runs per day or Tarheel where you get 2 sets of runs.

At the last event they tried doing run groups where you only get 1 set of runs per day but they normally do it with 2 sets of runs per day. I am pretty sure they will be running the 2 sets of runs setup.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it'll be nationals style where you take all your runs at one time.

you'll only be getting 3 runs per day; would you rather take 2 in the morning & one in the afternoon, or all 3 at once?

(raises hand for all 3 at once)

Whoa, seriously? I didn't see that mentioned. That is very unfortunate.
