I looked but didn't see who was chairing for tomorrow. I was hoping to send a pm but maybe they'll read this. I'm signed up (SSM, #421 Red CRX, and of course David Dunn) for tomorrow but my boss informed me TODAY that I was no longer off tomorrow and I have to show up. Since pre-registration closed yesterday, I wanted to go ahead and give as much advance notice as possible. Can anybody tell me who I need to let know this? I was hoping that some of the waiting list people could be emailed to let them know there was definitely at least one spot open now....

Dave (beginning to wonder if he's ever going to get to a Tarheel event this year.....)

no problem. I just hate that I couldn't do it earlier so that others could plan for it more in advance. I REALLY hate that I can't be out there. I'm starting to go through withdrawal. I've only made it to one this year and that was with Wilmington SCCA....needless to say, Tarheel leaves them wanting for a much better run event... Anyway, hope everyone has a good time and that the charity goes off great!

FYI (For Y'all's Information), you should always try to unregister yourself first before asking someone else to do it for you. If the event has been locked already, you'll receive a message saying so. Each event is actually open until the moment the registrar does the download, which could be anytime, but no sooner than midnight on Thursday. Often it doesn't actually happen until Friday evening.

Not like the registrars and webmasters don't enjoy fielding half a dozen "please remove my name" emails before every event, but anything y'all can do to help yourselves out will generally make everyone's life a little easier.

Thanks!

yeah I noticed that a couple of times last year before I was a member when something came up last minute. I was often able to un-register after the "deadline". Apparently too late this time though as I got the "registration is closed" message when I tried.
