That was just way too much fun. Nine or ten runs, I forget.

You guys have me pricing Konis and wheels for Mom's car...surely it won't ride too bad if I set them to full soft when I give it back to her...

Steve, thanks again for shagging cones during the lunch session all by yourself. Man that one Chicago box cone sure took a beating didn't it.

I honestly think that the Celica rode better after the Konis were installed (set on full soft of course). Granted, the stockers were pretty dead by the time we put the Konis on, but they really don't hurt the ride a whole lot.

Sounds like it was fun. Graham and I were thinking about all of you while we were cutting the grass at Laurinburg :(

The Ford powered lawnmower managed a 65 second run on our course design

I prefer the ride on Konis I don't even soften them after the event.
The new Konis are a bear to adjust the bump, so it was good that we could change them and then check the handling around the first sweeper during lunch break then adjust some more. As it was I only took 3 of my alloted 10 runs. Now if we only had a place where we could set up a 200' traction circle as well...
THANKS! again to all that set this up.

On the Miata, the Koni's are none too harsh on the street. Do it!

I've found the same thing with Koni SA's (a.k.a. Yellows/Sports) - they offer a very nice ride for daily use. I think the reason they work so well is the compression damping is fixed by Koni at a relatively "soft" rate, which works well for daily use, autocross, and track, assuming the rebound is set correctly for the spring rate.

We only needed the washboard at the end of the first sweeper for shock testing, so we aborted each run before the box during lunch, but we did see Steve out there watching (and looking somewhat confused the first couple times...).
