Can we get a breakdown of each scenario? How each one will effect seat time and number of runs counting towards the points event?

It's my birfday!!! I suggest cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream and a 1 second penalty for everyone who is not having a birthday on 8/20.

It is usually hotter than **** that time of the year so a night event sounds good.

Also, keep in mind that ECU will be starting up around that time so hotels might be an issue, with all the parents helping their kids adapt to 4 years of drinking and se, er, helping their kids move in.

CCR already does a 24 hr event, let them have it. I believe something like that would drain the club for the rest of the year...Kevin Hoff can shed light on it.

Two events in one day is a very long day for the organizers. After being out in the sun all day, another event that day will be a killer. Plus the seat time will be meaningless with the high level of fatigue.

How about starting an event around 3 and running until 11 or so. Like the NASCAR boys do :)

I like that idea Jim. Start late and finish up in the cool night air. Then drinks and ogling the coeds on 5th street that night!!!!!

I deleted the first poll due to an option that is very viable being left off the list. So........... lets try it again.

I am also gonna clean up the ECU/NCSU bashing as well 8)

Two things...

1. I have not attended a 24hr event with anyone. And with the THSCC two day events, I have only attended a single day of those. So I am curious as to how a 24hr event would work. How many runs, how does worker assignments work, etc.

2. I would like for Jim or someone else who has attended these events expand on the Pro/Cons of a 24hr event. Mostly from a participant view point, but welcome any comments.

Once I feel more educated, I will vote. :D

Ok, here is how CCR does the 24 hr thing.

Kicks off at high noon on Saturday, registration is open most all afternoon. You have to work 2- 1 hour sessions (or is it 2 hour sessions). You pick the time.

If your not working, get in line and run, you get 6 "official" runs and Infinite "un-official" runs. You tell the starter if its an official run.

I personally thought that NOBODY would be running at 3 am, but there was a line.

All in all, it was an AWESOME experience. Its fun watching a fellow class competitor wear out a set of brand new Hoosiers trying to catch you
