I think the "hangover" that Chuck is talking about is also known as a "Dunlop". I happen to be familiar with the latter term myself.

We pull the shoulder straps down HARD to keep us from moving around in the seat, so a 5 or 6 point is mandatory. I prefer the twist buckle release as I've never accidently released it, but I have hit the flip lever (it points up when locked) while driving with the Simpson buckle and released it.
I've also had a lot of quality issues with all Simpson product I've owned since Bill left the company (belts, driving shoes, helmet) that puts their products in the "overpriced priced junk" category IMHO.

After re-reading all of the replies and doing some more research, I think I am leaning towards a 5 or 6 point again. I am thinking G-Force at this point, but I am going to take a look at some in person before I decide on brand and 5/6 point.

I also want to clarify, I realize that these harnesses are dangerous without roll bars for street and track use. I have no intention of using it for either purpose. The sole purpose will be autocross, and then track if/after I get a roll bar. Thanks again.

Charlie,
email me if you want details on how we mounted the harness in the Celica.
