i should be able to get decent pics out of my camera i think. its no SLR, but its about as good as nonSLRs get. 10x optical zoon and decent optics. more info is here http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/s1is.html if interested. i spent a day playing w/ apertures and got some pretty narrow depth of fields before so i think it can do it, im just not very experienced yet.

hah and yeh, a few of those are camera phone pics.

i took a bunch of pics in cancun w/ this cam and they are in my gallery (www.goldteamrules.com/gallery) if you care to look. even looking back on those i wish i had known more about depth of field. some of those could use more subject focus

as w/ all things, it takes practice/experience i guess

Thanks Kevin! That slalom still hurts. It's nice to see pictures of how poorly I was driving it...

Awesome job Kevin. I think those slalom pics are your best work to date that I've seen.

I agree that this group of photos is outstanding, despite missing a sloppily-driven S2000.

Oh, I didn't miss the sloppily-driven S2000; I just didn't post the cone carnage I got. I'll be back soon with something...

That's nothing Graham. THAT cone carnage was from my first run in the morning. What would be really nasty is if anyone got a pic of my fourth run, when I nearly put it into the fence at the lane change (on the way out no less).

Awsome pics Kevin! (Even if I do say so myself)

Please PM me so we can talk about prints. If you can give me some pointers with my Nikon, I'll do my best to reciprocate at Laurinburg.

Thanks,

KB
