Some of us Tarheelers were crazy enough to do a Greenville/Greensboro 2-day. 400+ miles in a Miata are quite enough, I think. The quote of the day goes to Les who said "I can't wait to get home and just sit in the Goat". I think that the Miata will get a well deserved rest this week.

Notable trophies go to Donna Frank garnering second with her GS Celica, allegedly testing out a new "looser" setup; Les Davis willing a competitive CSP and getting FSP as well. Clay Rouse came in third in CSP, and I won ES.

Now it's time for a nap.

Also, registration has changed: You tech your car then register rather than pay and register, get teched then turn the card into the computer guy. Also, the Son of a Mitch guy (you should know exactly who I am talking about if you've ever been to a Triad event) doesn't get involved at all in the registration process. Ergo, the drivers' meeting started pretty much right on time at 10:30. 134 drivers and we left just before 5:00 after the awards ceremony. And their trophies beat the everliving snot out of our refrigerator magnets.

That would be winning CSP and getting FTSP

Typos made that a little hard to read, after reading it I thought I had "willed" a competition in CSP and FSP. That would be an interesting trick...

Also to mention, Jordan Normark, won SSM. Matt Roush came in 3rd in GS between the Franks. GS was an insanely competitive class yesterday. 5 GS cars in the top ten overall PAX all within a second of each other. Top ten overall PAX was well represented by THSCC also, with 5 THSCCers in the top ten. Donna 3rd, Matt 4th, Chuck 5th, "The Alien" 8th, and I brought up the rear in 10th.

Steven Rankins, whipped up on everyone with a FTD and FTPAX beating my 2nd overall raw by 8 tenths!!

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

And if anyone read the News and Fishwrap yesterday there was an article on how the NASCAR boys prefer the big trophies to refrigerator magnets and even money

He's been doing a lot of that kind of thing lately. I'd like to see how he matches up now against Whitney. (last time he ran with us was in DSP on Azenis at LBurg - and I beat his raw time by a couple of seconds, with my blue STS 2.5RS... Mike had me by 3 seconds  )

Greenville weather: low of 64 at 8 am; high of 78 at 4 pm.

Which would you rather do?

Since Wes puts sooo much hard work into THSCC  I'm just gonna let that slide. BTW, you are free to run Triad events whenever you'd like.

I reckon that my event chairmanship of the May event isn't real work? Well then I'll just STFU.

Sure it is, but it hasn't happened yet. Will you even have time with your new busy Triad schedule?

Hey wait a minute! These are an upgrade over the previous ones that came without a magnet

I don't like them either. They keep falling off my car. Can we get some fiberglass magnets?

Guess the budget is a bit bare after buying the Z06, we will pass around a collection plate for some 2 sided tape for your 405 hp a*s at the next meeting.

I skipped out on autocrossing to go drive in the mountains with some guys I grew up with. We camped out on the base of Mt. Pisgah. We woke up to snow.

should have stayed in Raleigh
